Improved Analytical Model for a Proximity Coupled Microstrip Patch Antenna (PC-MSPA)

This article presents an accurate full analytical model to assess the impedance response of a proximity-coupled microstrip patch antenna (PC-MSPA). An improved formulation resonant frequency is used calculate quality factor, resistance, and feeding circuit parameters antenna. The proposed also assesses PC-MSPA while considering fabrication constraints. For validation model, at first, antennas are simulated for $S$ -, notation="LaTeX">$C$ notation="LaTeX">$X$ -bands. Then, two prototypes fabricated measured. predicts bandwidth with less than 1% error.
